COVID-19

CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION

To Our Residents, Families, Friends and the Wider Community,

These are extraordinary times and we want you to know that, as always, our first priority is our residents and we will continue to provide the care and support each resident requires as per any other time at The Richardson and The Queenslea.

The safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff is always at the centre of our decision making. As Australia moves through the rapidly changing COVID-19 landscape we take all appropriate measures, at times more onerous than recommended, to protect our community. We sincerely thank you for adhering to our stringent measures and for your continued patience, understanding and support during this challenging time.

We understand that you and your loved ones are concerned about what the future holds and we want to reassure you that we are well prepared to care for our residents. We have a comprehensive infection prevention and control program in place for residents and staff, and have adequate stocks and supplies, including PPE, to continue providing exceptional care. We have well established relationships with our suppliers and they are committed to supporting us as an Aged Care priority customer.

Our team is taking every precaution to keep our residents and themselves safe. Accordingly, if you:

Please let us know immediately and refrain from visiting our home, sending items to our home or using The Window of Love.

We continue to closely monitor official advice from the Department of Health and are committed to keeping you informed of any relevant updates and necessary changes that we are required to put in place.
