WAFLW Star Jayme Harken Inspires Residents at The Queenslea

During morning tea, residents gathered as Jayme shared her journey in football, spoke about the importance of teamwork, and offered advice about pursuing passions. Her presentation wasn’t just a talk — it was interactive. Residents tested their knowledge with a quiz, and those who answered correctly were rewarded with footballs handed out by Jayme herself.

The excitement didn’t stop there. After the presentation, Jayme spent time chatting one-on-one with residents, answering questions, and sharing stories from her career. These moments created a warm and personal connection, giving residents the chance to engage directly with someone making waves in women’s sport.

“Visits like this are so special,” said one resident. “It’s wonderful to see young women achieving their goals.”

The event was also a perfect way to continue celebrating International Women’s Day, showing residents the achievements of women in sport and the power of following your passions. Jayme’s visit left a lasting impression, not just through her achievements on the field, but through her warmth, generosity, and willingness to connect with the community.

Moments like these highlight the vibrant and engaging lifestyle at The Queenslea, where residents enjoy opportunities to meet inspiring individuals, learn something new, and participate in interactive activities that bring joy and connection.
