💛 R U OK? Day at The Queenslea, The Richardson, and The Melvista

On Thursday 11th September, our three aged care communities — The Queenslea, The Richardson, and The Melvista — came together to mark R U OK? Day, a national day of action that reminds us of the power of starting meaningful conversations.

Residents and staff gathered for delicious luncheons, shared time together, and filled our homes with warmth and laughter. To add to the spirit of the day, everyone dressed in bright yellow, creating a cheerful atmosphere that reflected the theme of positivity and connection.

The day wasn’t just about good food and fun, though there was plenty of both! It was also an important reminder that asking a simple question — “Are you okay?” — can open the door to deeper conversations, connection, and support.

Across all three homes, it was heartening to see residents and staff celebrating together, showing care for one another, and living out the values of community and kindness.
