Celebrating Harmony Day at The Richardson | Perth Aged Care Community

At The Richardson, a leading residential aged care home in Perth, Harmony Day provided a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the cultural diversity that enriches our community.

As part of our ongoing commitment to culturally inclusive aged care, team members came together to share their heritage, proudly wearing traditional attire and engaging in conversations that reflected the many backgrounds and experiences within our home. These moments not only highlight individuality, but also strengthen the sense of connection and belonging that is central to life at The Richardson.

A special highlight of the day was our Lifestyle Coordinator, Yuko, wearing a beautiful blue kimono — a reflection of cultural pride and the inclusive environment we foster. Residents and staff alike enjoyed learning more about different traditions, reinforcing the importance of diversity in modern aged care communities.

The celebration was further enhanced by a live performance from Jay Weston, whose music brought residents and staff together in a shared experience of joy and connection. Events like these form part of our aged care lifestyle programs, designed to support social engagement, emotional wellbeing, and a vibrant community atmosphere.

At Oryx Communities, we believe that high-quality aged care in Perth goes beyond clinical support — it’s about creating environments where residents feel respected, valued, and connected. Harmony Day at The Richardson was a wonderful reflection of these values in action.

For families seeking aged care in Perth that prioritises inclusion, community, and meaningful lifestyle experiences, The Richardson offers a warm and welcoming environment where every resident is celebrated.
